A sharp eyed observer will note that Double Distinguished shooter Victor Marcelle is listed as earning his Badge as a member of the Army National Guard but carries an Air Force serial number. He earned his rifle and pistol badges as a member of the Army National Guard but a career change caused him to switch component to the Air National Guard. In order to be authorized to wear his Distinguished Badges awarded by the Army he was assigned Air Force Distinguished Badge numbers. Unlike Lew Tippie, he was not required to earn the Badge again.
