Brigadier General George A. Rehm, USA, served as the Executive Officer, G-3, operations section for General Douglas MacArthur’s headquarters, South West Pacific Area, United States Army Forces Pacific, during World War II from 1942 through the Occupation of Japan in 1946.

Rehm is one of only two general/flag officers who is Triple Distinguished. He earned his three Badges as a second lieutenant; Pistol Shot Badge in 1922, Rifle Badge in 1923, and International Distinguished in 1924 in the Pan American Rifle Matches at Lima, Peru.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy, an impressive display of his shooting awards, including his Distinguished Badges, is prominently displayed in the entry way of the Tronsrue Marksmanship Center at West Point.
